Tool 4.6 Induction checklist

This induction checklist for shearing is an example of a procedure. This procedure ensures that all new employees are correctly inducted into the shearing shed. It is a place to list all the key things you need to cover, then document that the employee/s know and understand the expectations around these items.

A checklist like this saves you time, saves your memory and aids safety outcomes.

This checklist should be used by the employer with the shearing team to ensure all important work practices are identified and that all shed staff are aware of work practices and safety information. It also gives the shed staff a chance to raise any safety concerns or requirements with the employer.
